AWS Glue Data Catalog Gets External Credential Support for Iceberg

AWS Glue Data Catalog now lets you connect to external Apache Iceberg REST catalogs using vendor-supplied credentials instead of just IAM roles, giving you finer-grained access control across Athena, EMR, Redshift, and Glue. This means you can read only the Iceberg tables your external catalog authorizes, with Lake Formation handling row and column-level restrictions across all commercial AWS Regions.
