Amazon Time Sync Service Now Supports Microsecond Precision on 135 More EC2 Instance Types
Amazon Time Sync Service just expanded to 135 additional EC2 instance types across all commercial regions, bringing microsecond-accurate time and nanosecond-precision hardware timestamps to eight Gen8 and four Gen9 instance families. You can now use the new Precision Time Placement Group (PTPG) to enable Precision Time Protocol hardware clocks, making it easier to order application events, measure network latency, and speed up distributed transactions.
