Amazon S3 Vectors metadata pre-filtering lands in AWS GovCloud

Amazon S3 Vectors now supports metadata pre-filtering in AWS GovCloud (US-East) and AWS GovCloud (US-West) regions, letting you filter vectors before similarity search runs and get up to 5x more matching results. The update also adds a $startsWith operator for path and URL filtering, making RAG and semantic-search apps return more relevant answers without extra costs or code changes.
