Amazon Redshift System Tables Now Keep Data Longer in More Regions

Amazon Redshift just expanded its long-term system table retention feature to four new AWS Regions: New Zealand, Calgary, and both US GovCloud zones. You can now store your Redshift system data beyond the standard 7-day limit directly in Amazon S3 Tables using Apache Iceberg format, which means better compliance tracking and cross-warehouse observability without building custom ETL pipelines.
