Amazon OpenSearch Serverless Gets Smart Data Ingestion from S3

Amazon OpenSearch Serverless now lets you automatically transform logs and documents from S3 into searchable content with zero infrastructure management—just pick your source bucket and target collection, and the system handles parsing, chunking, embeddings, and indexing. The feature works with structured data (JSON, NDJSON) and unstructured files (PDF, Word, Markdown), even extracting text from images using vision AI, and is available today in seven AWS regions.
