Mistral's Compact Vision Models Land on AWS SageMaker JumpStart

Mistral AI's Ministral-3-3B and Ministral-3-8B models are now deployable on Amazon SageMaker JumpStart, giving AWS customers lightweight, vision-capable alternatives for edge and resource-constrained setups. The 3B model fits in 8GB VRAM (FP8) with a 256K context window, while the 8B variant delivers frontier-class reasoning in 12GB—both support multimodal understanding, multilingual instruction following, and function calling out of the box.
