CloudWatch Logs Insights Now Shows Query Costs Before You Run Them

Amazon CloudWatch Logs Insights just dropped a handy feature that estimates how many bytes your query will scan before you actually execute it—no charges applied. You can now tweak your log groups, time ranges, and filters in the console or via AWS CLI/API to optimize costs, and the estimate command works across all AWS commercial regions.
