CloudWatch Alarms Just Got Smarter with Warm-up Periods

Amazon CloudWatch now lets you delay alarm evaluation after creation, so your freshly deployed services won't spam your on-call engineer with false alerts while they're still booting up. Set a warm-up period from 1 to 2,880 minutes, and CloudWatch will either wait the full duration or start evaluating automatically once metrics actually flow in—no extra costs, available everywhere CloudWatch runs.
