AWS Adds Phone Number Verification for Account Security

AWS Accounts now let you verify primary contact phone numbers via SMS one-time passcode through the Management Console or new APIs (SendPhoneNumberVerification and VerifyPhoneNumber). For AWS Organizations, verified numbers can inherit across member accounts from the management account, saving you from re-verifying thousands of times—this rolls out across all AWS commercial regions.
