API Gateway Gets Serious About Logging: 1 MB Events and Custom Destinations

Amazon API Gateway now lets you route execution logs up to 1 MB (instead of the old 1 KB limit) to CloudWatch Logs, S3, or Firehose—all at once. This means you can stash logs in S3 for cheap long-term storage while simultaneously streaming JSON to CloudWatch for real-time alerts, available across all AWS Regions including GovCloud.
