Amazon RDS Snapshots Now Show You the Full Picture

Amazon RDS just dropped a handy feature: you can now see the complete snapshot size through the Console and the DescribeDBSnapshots API using the new 'FullSnapshotSizeInBytes' field. This tells you the actual total size of all blocks in a snapshot—including referenced blocks from previous snapshots—which is super useful for capacity planning and cost tracking across all commercial AWS Regions.
