Amazon ECS now brings S3 Files to EC2 instances

Amazon ECS tasks running on EC2 can now mount Amazon S3 Files as a shared file system, letting your containerized apps and AI agents work directly with S3 data using standard file operations—no code changes or data staging needed. This capability is now available across all three ECS launch types (EC2, Fargate, and Managed Instances) in all AWS commercial regions and GovCloud.
