Amazon Redshift Gets Apache Iceberg v3 Support – Here's What's New

Amazon Redshift now lets you read and write Apache Iceberg v3 tables, bringing three killer features to your data lake workflows: default column values for easier schema evolution, row lineage tracking for CDC pipelines, and deletion vectors that replace slow positional deletes with speedy compressed bitmaps. You can create new v3 tables or upgrade existing v2 ones with simple SQL commands on Graviton-based provisioned and serverless clusters.
